Meet Megan
Megan Jedry has proudly called Point Pleasant Borough home for the past 19 years. What started as a place to live, quickly became a community she deeply cares about - a place where neighbors support one another and families put down roots for generations.
Megan has been an active member of the local business community for over eight years through her involvement with the Chamber of Commerce, including serving two years on the board and two years as President. In that role, she worked closely with town administration and local business owners to support economic growth, strengthen community partnerships, and help make Point Pleasant a vibrant place to live and work.
She also served one year on the town’s Environmental Commission, where she supported initiatives focused on preserving open space, restoring our shorelines, and organizing community events like Earth Day. During her time on the commission, Megan introduced the concept for the town’s first community garden - a multi-purpose space where residents can learn about sustainable farming and native planting, harvest organic produce to support the Panthers Let’s Eat program, and create hands-on education opportunities for local youth.
Megan and her husband - a lifelong Boro resident -are raising their family here, including their third grader at Nellie F. Bennett Elementary School. She is an active member of the PTO and regularly volunteers her time supporting youth sports as an assistant coach for a Major 60s baseball team, as well as the youth football program, where her husband assistant coaches the 9U team.
As a sports mom, Megan has seen firsthand that our parks and fields are struggling to keep up with the demands of our growing youth population. Aging facilities, along with ongoing irrigation and drainage issues, limit how often fields can be used. Plans to revitalize McKennan Field have been presented in the past but never acted on, and today many of our kids don’t have enough field space to practice - often only getting time on the field during games.
Megan is also part of the “sandwich generation,” balancing the needs of work, raising her children while supporting aging parents. This perspective gives her a unique understanding of the challenges facing families at every stage of life - and reinforces her commitment to building a community that supports everyone.
She is known for jumping in wherever help is needed - whether that’s volunteering at the snack stand, supporting community events like SummerFest, or even stepping in as the town mascot for youth baseball & softball opening day.
Megan also shares her home with two beloved dogs and is a strong advocate for initiatives that support families, local businesses, and community connection.
She believes in transparency, open communication, and making sure residents have a voice in the decisions that impact their daily lives. Megan is committed to listening first and ensuring community input is heard before decisions are made.
Megan believes there is something truly special about Point Pleasant Borough - a sense of pride, generosity, and community spirit that’s hard to find anywhere else. It’s what inspires her to give back and work to ensure that future generations can experience the same strong, connected community she’s proud to call home.
